According to a release from the American Angus Association, two farms in the area ranked in the top 10 for registering the most Angus beef cattle in North Carolina with the American Angus Association® during fiscal year 2021, which ended Sept. 30. Windy Hill Farms LLC, Ramseur, ranked as ninth largest and Uwharrie Ridge Farms, Asheboro, tied for 10th largest, according to Mark McCully, Association chief executive officer.
