The ban on the controversial herbicide glyphosate in Mexico cannot be averted, the environmental NGO Greenpeace said Tuesday, reports Mexico News Daily. Glyphosate is the most widely used pesticide in the world and is listed as “potentially carcinogenic” by the World Health Organization (WHO), although its manufacturer, Bayer, insists that those effects are unproven.
