The chances for a white Christmas in North Carolina are already looking slim. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Climate Prediction Center on Thursday issued its outlook for December though next February, calling for above-average temperatures and drier-than-average conditions across the Southeast. NOAA cited La Niña conditions in the Pacific Ocean for the winter weather pattern. “Consistent with typical La Niña conditions during winter months, we anticipate below-normal temperatures along portions of the northern tier of the U.S.," For more of this story, click here.
