Fire departments from across the region responded to west Buncombe County Wednesday morning after reports of multiple structure fires. The first call came in around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3. and more calls quickly followed as firefighters from across the region raced to respond. “These fires, in our opinion, were started intentionally," Buncombe County Sheriff Quentin Miller said in a press conference Wednesday morning. "That definitely raises a flag for me. I am very concerned that someone would do this. The next point is, we need to catch that person."
