State Labor Commissioner Josh Dobson said Thursday that he's concerned about rules the Biden administration has laid out requiring private-sector workers to be vaccinated against coronavirus, saying the mandate could hurt North Carolina businesses. The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration has set a Jan. 4 deadline for businesses with 100 or more employees to ensure their workers are vaccinated. Those who refuse to get vaccinated must undergo weekly testing.
