Sustainability is a new focus in American agriculture, and U.S. corn farmers wanted to figure out where they fit in. The National Corn Growers Association put together a Sustainability Report detailing their progress in becoming more sustainable. Brandon Hunnicutt is an NCGA Board member who talks about the report. “Sustainability Report was something we’ve worked on for quite a while, and two things it shows us is, one, how far we’ve come in corn farming and sustainability practices. A lot of that over time, just improvements in technology, improvements in how we are able to manage the soil and water."
