On Oct. 6, 2021, the White House Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) announced Phase 1 of a proposed two-phase rollback of the most significant substantive changes included in the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) rule-making finalized by former President Donald Trump’s administration in 2020.
