The Carolina Farm Credit Board of Directors elected Vickie N. Smitherman as chairman and D. Kaleb Rathbone as vice chairman on Oct. 27 Smitherman, of East Bend, has been a Carolina Farm Credit director since 2009. She also is on the Carolina Farm Credit Board Compensation, Governance and Executive Committees. Smitherman is a partner of Shady Grove Dairy Inc., a dairy farm.
