On Wednesday, December 1, 2021, Representative Karl E. Gillespie (R-Macon) announced his intention to seek a second term to the North Carolina House of Representatives. “As a first-term legislator, I have had an opportunity to gain valuable experience and build strong working relationships,” stated Representative Gillespie. “As a result, we were able to hit the ground running and deliver for Western North Carolina, securing substantial funding for capital improvements and projects for the district."
