Flow is new chairman of Golden LEAF Foundation; Rockingham wins $992,000 grant

The Golden LEAF Foundation on Thursday awarded a grant to Rockingham County in the first round of its new SITE Program and announced a prominent Triad businessman as the organization’s new chairman. Don Flow, owner and CEO of Winston-Salem-based Flow Automotive Companies, succeeds Bo Biggs as chairman of the nonprofit organization established in 1999 to receive a portion of North Carolina’s funding from the 1998 Master Settlement Agreement with cigarette manufacturers. The Foundation has awarded $1 billion in grant funding over the past 20 years.
