Consumers turning to local farms for meats amid inflation, store shortages

 Supply chain shortages have some people turning to local cattle farms instead of grocery stores to get their meats. Farmers said they’re now raising more than double their usual cattle, while producing and packaging more meat than ever to keep up with the demand of people who are now shopping locally. “It is hard to get and when you can get it, you’re buying extra to put in your freezer," community member Joyce Riggs said.
