Value-added dairy processing workshops, food safety and best practices

Coming in January 2022, the Southeast Dairy Business Innovation Initiatives (SDBII) program is excited to offer food safety training sessions for value-added dairy producers. These training sessions will cover topics which include a review of recent cases of foodborne illness from dairy products, food safety hazards (biological, chemical, physical), good manufacturing practices/preventative controls, and a review of an example food safety plans. Each workshop will also include a facility tour at the meeting location.

Monday, January 10, 9 a.m.–3 p.m./CT, MTSU Creamery, Murfreesboro, TN

Tuesday, January 11, 9 a.m.–3 p.m./CT, Hilltopper Creamery, Bowling Green, KY

Friday, January 28, 9 a.m.–3 p.m./ET, NC STATE Howling Cow Creamery, Raleigh, NC

These sessions are free to attend, and lunch will be provided.
