Local tobacco growers will get a chance to “sharpen their pencils” at the annual tobacco meeting at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Farmers Market on Peachtree Street. N.C. Cooperative Extension Agent for Agriculture Maryanna Waters said four speakers will present the latest research from specialists and give growers a chance to ask questions before the growing season begins.
