NC Environmental Management Commission to meet January 12 and 13

The North Carolina Environmental Management Commission (EMC) will meet Wednesday and Thursday, January 12 and 13, 2022. Due to the increase in COVID-19 cases, the meetings will be held remotely. Attendees may join online or by phone.

 

Remote access to the meetings will be available January 12, 2021, and agendas may be found at the Department of Environmental Quality’s Environmental Management webpage.

 

Wednesday January 12, 2022, 9 a.m. Committee Meetings

  • 9:00 – 10:00 a.m.                    Air Quality Committee
  • 10:15 – 11:15  a.m.                 Groundwater & Waste Management Committee
  • 12:15 p.m. – 1:15 p.m.           Water Allocation Committee
  • 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.             Water Quality Committee
  • 3:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.             NPDES Committee

 

Thursday, January 13, 2022, 9 a.m. Environmental Management Meeting

 

The Environmental Management Commission is responsible for adopting rules for the protection, preservation and enhancement of the state’s air, land and water resources. The commission oversees and adopts rules for several divisions of the Department of Environmental Quality, including the divisions of Air Quality; Energy, Mineral and Land Resources; Waste Management and Water Resources.
