A USDA/AFRI Workforce Training grant brought together a team of experts from Global Agricultural Development Corporation, Durham Technical Community College, and NC State University to develop a short, practical, certificate program to train new workers for the growing high-tech greenhouse and hydroponic horticulture industries. This hyrbid (online and main campus) 3-Step Bio-Agricultural Readiness Program is being offered through Durham Tech. It includes classroom, greenhouse/lab, and hands-on internship components. The program can be completed in 6 to 8 months, AND there are scholarships being offered that will cover 50% of the tuition.
