The last year was the earth’s sixth-warmest on record, while the past seven years were among the warmest ever recorded, according to research released Thursday by NASA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. The NOAA analysis found that while Earth was slightly cooler than 2019 and 2020, 2021 was still among the warmest on record dating back to 1880. Every year from 2013 to 2021 was among the ten warmest recorded years, and 2021 was the 45th consecutive year with global temperatures above the 20th century average...
