'Abuse-laden' redistricting process playing out nationwide and in North Carolina, report says

The redistricting process underway across the country “appears to be one of the most abuse laden in U.S. history,” and North Carolina is one of the more “breathtaking” examples, according to a report out Wednesday from the Brennan Center for Justice. The report offers national context to the robust back-and-forth over redistricting in North Carolina, where legal arguments that may overturn maps drawn by the legislature’s Republican majority are pending before the state Supreme Court.
