Why do we need your input?
More frequent and severe droughts, hurricanes, forest fires, and rainfall events due to climate change are increasingly threatening the livelihoods of agricultural producers in North Carolina. To aid agricultural producers and decision makers as they prepare for and adapt to these events, the NC State Climate Office (NCSCO) and NC State Extension are partnering to develop a “Future-Ready Farmer’s Almanac”.

The Future-Ready Farmer’s Almanac will incorporate state-of-the-art weather and climate change datasets and leverage NCSCO and NC State Extension expertise. Importantly, the Future-Ready Farmer’s Almanac will present relevant information to agricultural producers and decision makers in an appealing, interactive way (e.g., in a web-based dashboard).
