Fruit and vegetable consumption low, CDC reports

Just one in 10 Americans eat recommended levels of vegetables, according to a new report from the Centers for Disease Control. In 2019, the CDC report said 12.3% and 10% of surveyed adults met fruit and vegetable intake recommendations, respectively. Hispanic adults had the highest fruit intake average (16.4%), meeting recommended consumption levels, while males (10.1%) had the lowest average.
