N.C. Cooperative Extension has published the new Fact Sheet
titled Present Use Value: Transferring Property Enrolled in Present Use Value Property Taxation, written by Robert Andrew
Branan, JD and Rajan Parajuli, PhD. This is the
most recent publication in the Farm Law for Operators and Landowners series.
The fact sheet gives particular attention to maintaining PUV status during a
transfer by gift, sale or inheritance. Funding for the effort includes support
by the NC Tobacco Trust Commission.
