Dairy Gauge is a financial program focused on helping dairy operations understand their cost of production, identify areas of financial strength, and pinpoint areas for improvement in efficiency. This program is currently available in Tennessee, Kentucky, and North Carolina. Farms that participated in Dairy Gauge with 2020 financial data received benchmark reports this week. If you are interested in participating in this effort, we are currently recruiting 2021 financial data from dairy operations.

Dairy Gauge is part of the Southeast Dairy Business Innovation Initiatives (SDBII) and is funded by the Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) division of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). SDBII is based at The University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture’s Animal Science Department with key  collaborators including NC State University, the University of Kentucky and the Kentucky Dairy Development Council (KDDC).
