Although hydroponic production systems allow growers
to control many factors to create a healthy crop, these systems do pose a
unique environment for certain diseases. It is important to know the know and
identify the diseases on these crops to rapidly deploy the most effective
management strategies.A new article from e-GRO highlights
some of these diseases and the accompanying pictures are helpful for initial
diagnoses. Keep in mind, it is still important to get an accurate diagnosis
from your local county agent/agronomist and send the sample to the NC State Plant Disease and Insect Clinic.
