The Steve Troxler Agricultural Sciences Center replaces seven facilities used by the department’s Food and Drug Protection, Standards, Structural Pest Control and Pesticides, and Veterinary divisions. The labs in the facility conduct tests pertaining to food safety, animal disease diagnosis, weights and measures calibration, and motor fuel quality. More than five acres of offices, training rooms and labs are located in the building.

This is the first opportunity to tour the facility since move-in was complete in late summer 2021. Funding for the building came through the passage of the Connect NC Bond in 2016.
