As the U.S. economy recovers from the pandemic, its growth prospects are running into high inflation and sparking fears of a recession in 2023. While the International Monetary Fund has predicted it will grow nearly 4% this year, inflation in the United States reached 8.5% in March, the highest annualized rate in 40 years.
