NC State University announced today the second wine in the NC State University Hallowed Places Collection, featuring The Court of North Carolina on its label. The collection is part of the university’s ongoing partnership with North Carolina wineries.

Shelton Vineyards in Dobson, North Carolina, produced the second limited-edition wine in the series, which is available for purchase directly from the vineyard’s website and in its tasting room beginning Sunday, May 1, at noon. There are approximately 4,000 bottles available for purchase. A portion of all sales will support student scholarships at NC State. The release of the wine also celebrates the start of North Carolina Wine Month on May 1.

The first wine in the series, featuring The Brickyard, was also produced by Shelton Vineyards and sold out in just 38 days. Carter Avayou, a current student in the NC State College of Design, created the labels for the wines in the series.
