Cynthia Rosenzweig, the senior research scientist at the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies who first wrote about the impact on climate change on agriculture in 1985, was announced Thursday as the 2022 World Food Prize laureate in a ceremony at the State Department. Rosenzweig's work focused on how climate change affects food production in different parts of the world. Among her accomplishments, Rosenzweig pioneered a project for climate modelers to forecast how changing growing conditions will affect food production.
