 Gov. Roy Cooper recommended on Wednesday that the North Carolina General Assembly increase the state's budget for the 2022-23 fiscal year by billions of dollars. In his budget recommendation, Cooper focused on funding for education, state employee salaries and keeping homes affordable for the majority of North Carolinians.
