Welcoming guests to the farm, or agritourism, is where agriculture and tourism meet. By shrinking the gap between consumers and farmers, agritourism provides unique educational experiences, farm-fresh food and local, value-added products (think strawberry jam) directly from the farm to the table. The agritourism industry tripled in the U.S. between 2002 and 2017, according to the most recent U.S. Census of Agriculture report. For more of this story, click here.
