Over $22,000 will be awarded to area students to continue their educational careers. Cape Fear Farm Credit — part of the national Farm Credit System, a network of financial cooperatives established in 1916 to provide a dependable source of credit to farmers and rural America — gave a dozen scholarships away to students in Scotland, Robeson, Bladen, Duplin, Harnett, Brunswick, and Sampson counties. According to a release, students had to be connected to an agricultural operation in a county served by Cape Fear Farm Credit to qualify. For more of this story, click here.
