Ag facing chronic labor shortage

It has been dubbed the Great Resignation, and refers to the record number of Americans that have voluntarily quit their jobs in the past year. In April of 2022, 4.4 million Americans quit whatever job they had, marketing the eleventh consecutive month with more than 4 million resignations. Each month that 4 million represents almost 3 percent of the workforce. Though it’s only a rough estimation, economists have guessed that about 40 percent of all workers have quit their jobs since the beginning of 2021.
