North Carolina State University’s Turfgrass Breeding and Genetics program, under the direction of Susana Milla-Lewis, has released Sola™ St. Augustinegrass (experimental name XSA 11377). Milla-Lewis revealed the grass’s much-anticipated name on Aug. 10 at NC State’s 2022 Lake Wheeler Turfgrass Field Day.
