Let me be very clear, border security is national security, and it has gotten exponentially worse since President Biden took office a little more than one year ago. Just this week, the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) released new numbers on illegal border crossings during the month of July – and they are nothing short of unsettling. Last month, CBP reported an influx of 199,976 illegal crossings at the southern border. This is an over 300% increase compared to July of 2020. Right now, Americans are rightfully wondering how much worse this catastrophe could become in the coming weeks and months.
