Could climate change mean the spotted lanternfly is here to stay?

Warming global temperatures might make it harder to completely squash the spotted lanternfly population in the United States, experts fear.   The species, originally from southeast Asia, was first spotted in the United States in 2014 and has since spread to 12 states in New England and the mid-Atlantic, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
