Friends, On Labor Day, we celebrate the hardworking Americans who have built our country.
The opportunity to work hard and pursue a better life for your family has always been foundational to our nation. However, Washington Democrats continue to peddle policies that hamper this pursuit, as well as undermine the middle class and hardworking folks across our country. We can see this first in President Joe Biden’s student loan “forgiveness” proposal. Outstanding federal student loan debt currently totals $1.7 trillion and is held primarily by those from higher income households. It is predicted that Biden’s student loan bailout plan could cost taxpayers, in total, between $300-$980 billion. Yet, this tax burden would not be proportionate, as most would be paid by people who either didn’t go to college or have worked hard to pay off their own loans. Your individual share of this burden would amount to an estimated $2,085 in taxes.
