Today, Congresswoman Kathy Manning (NC-06) announced she was awarded the 'Friend of Farm Bureau’ Award from the American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF) for her work to support farmers and the agricultural industry during the 117th Congress.
As a Friend of the Farm Bureau, Rep. Manning has demonstrated her support for the Farm Bureau’s policy positions and was nominated by the North Carolina Farm Bureau and approved by the AFBF Board of Directors.
“I’m proud to accept the Friend of Farm Bureau award from the American Farm Bureau Federation in recognition of my work to support North Carolina’s farmers, said Congresswoman Kathy Manning. “Our farmers and rural communities are vital to our economy and way of life in North Carolina, and I will continue working hard in Congress to support policies that help our family farms and agriculture businesses succeed and thrive.”
Congresswoman Kathy Manning has supported several efforts in Congress to help farmers, including the AFBF-supported legislation such as the Ocean Shipping Reform Act, and the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. Additionally, Congresswoman Manning sent several letters to Congressional leadership supporting funding for agricultural research and innovation.
