State Farmers Market to host Collard Day Friday, Nov. 6

WHAT:  Visitors are invited to celebrate a Southern meal staple at Collard Day on Friday, Nov. 6. Vendors will have fresh, locally grown collard greens for sale along with all the fixings, including a variety of relishes, salsas and chow-chows. The State Farmers Market Restaurant will provide freshly cooked collard samples and hushpuppies, along with recipes, serving tips and nutritional information.

 

WHEN:  Friday, Nov. 6, 11 a.m. — 1 p.m.

 

WHERE:  Farmers Building, State Farmers Market, 1201 Agriculture St., Interstate 40, exit 297, Lake Wheeler Road
