Sen. Eddie Goodall announced Saturday that he will not be seeking a fourth term in the General Assembly. In a news release, Goodall cited financial reasons for his decision. “Like the vast majority of my constituents I too have to make a living and pay my bills,” Goodall said. “The legislative pay simply does not make it feasible for the majority of citizens to do that.” He also said his decision not to run was difficult due to high expectations for Republicans this year. Goodall's seat covers portions of Union and Mecklenburg counties.
