CBS news to air antibiotic use story

We have learned that CBS will air a two-part story on antibiotic use, hosted by Katie Couric on her evening news broadcast. It appears that the agenda of the report will focus on "factory farming" and its use of antibiotics. NPPC and NPB are working jointly in preparation. Dr. Liz Wagstrom (NPB) and other pork industry stakeholders will be featured in the story.  Katie Couric's producer has told us that CBS will run the series on Wed., Feb. 3 and Thurs., Feb. 4. NCPC is prepared to field any media questions.
