'A-maize-ing' discovery could lead to higher corn yields for food, feed and fuel

Reports indicate that a team of scientists used tropical maize from Mexico and
Thailand to discover chromosome regions responsible for detecting seasonal changes in flowering time, which could lead to higher corn yields for food, feed and fuel.
