Sens. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) and Kent Conrad (D-N.D.) have introduced the Grow Renewable Energy from Ethanol Naturally Jobs Act of 2010, a bill that extends the ethanol blenders' tax credit, the small ethanol producers tax credit, the cellulosic producer tax credit and the ethanol import tariff.

The measure was cosponsored by Sens. John Thune (R-S.D.), Ben Nelson (D-Neb.), Mike Johanns (R-Neb.) and Tim Johnson (D-S.D.). It is companion legislation to a bill introduced in the House of Representatives by Rep. Earl Pomeroy (D-N.D.) and Rep. John Shimkus (R-Ill.) — a measure strongly opposed by several industry groups.
