The British film "Pig Business," which in part takes aim at Smithfield Foods' operations in Poland, is slated to get a showing in Toronto later this month as part of IdeaCity, Toronto's 10-year-old festival of the humanities and current events, the film's makers said in a news release.

The film has been little-seen, although there were plans to air it on the British channel, More4, last year. Concerns that the film might contain "false" and "libelous" content prompted Smithfield to contact More4 and other organizations with plans to screen it, although the company never actually took legal action.

Reportedly the film was re-edited from its original version, apparently to address some of Smithfield's concerns.

The film was made by Tracy Worcester, the Marchioness of Worcester, who will become the next Duchess of Beaufort. The Canadian date is the first time the film will be shown on this side of the Atlantic, although the film can be seen online.
