Whether in the halls of Congress or at home in Western North Carolina, I’m always working to create a job friendly mountain region. I am pleased to announce several  “Ask the Experts: What’s new for small businesses in 2010” events that will provide updates about new opportunities and provide a forum for attendees to ask questions about their small businesses or start-ups.  Participating agencies include the U.S. Small Business Administration, the Small Business Centers at Blue Ridge and Haywood Community Colleges and McDowell Tech, the Small Business and Technology Development Center (SBTDC), SCORE, USDA, Advantage West, Self Help, Mountain BizWorks, and several community banks.

To help connect hard working families with job opportunities, I am enthusiastic to be able to facilitate job fairs and workforce training seminars to make sure Western North Carolinians are aware of and prepared for available job opportunities.

For more information  about these upcoming events, please visit my website.

To register for one of my upcoming job fairs or small business seminars, please call my Asheville Office at 828-252-1651.  I look forward to seeing many of you at these events throughout Western North Carolina.
