Cinnabon is looking to branch out into the breakfast and lunch segments as it transitions from quick-service to bakery-café, according to Nation’s Restaurant News.
The Atlanta-based chain will begin testing breakfast and lunch this summer, as well as a beverage program featuring espresso.
Breakfast sandwiches include egg, cheese and sausage or bacon. The breakfast program will begin testing at four company-owned stores in Houston next month, NRN reported. Breakfast sandwiches will cost between $1.49 and $2.49.
Cinnabon’s lunch offerings will include Panini-style sandwiches with smoked turkey, chicken, Angus roast beef or Black Forest ham. Lunch items will hit the test market in late August or early September.
The transition to bakery-café concept is expected to take three years. Cinnabon is a Focus Brands Restaurant Group with 570 units.
