Senator Tom Harkin, D-Iowa and 20 other Senators wrote a letter to Ag Secretary Tom Vilsack Friday stating support for USDA's action on proposing new regulations to clarify and strengthen the protections afforded by the Packers and Stockyards Act for livestock producers, swine production contract growers and poultry growers.
