Grants will create jobs in region communities

A growing direct-marketing company in Southern Pines, a planned farmers market in Elizabethtown and a planned biofuel manufacturer in Scotland County will benefit from $511,000 in state grants aimed at helping the businesses open or relocate so they can create at least 50 jobs.
