Mekong Fresh Meats is recalling about 29,893 pounds of cured uncooked pork sausage because the products contain an undeclared allergen, the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection service announced Friday.

The pork ginger sausages contain undeclared wheat, a known allergen.

Mekong Fresh Meats, based in Mosinee, Wis., is recalling:
•    5-lb. bags of "CURED UNCOOKED PORK GINGER SAUSAGE 50 PCS."
•    16-ounce packages of "CURED UNCOOKED PORK GINGER SAUSAGE."
•    20-ounce packages of "CURED UNCOOKED PORK GINGER SAUSAGE."
•    32-ounce packages of "CURED UNCOOKED PORK GINGER SAUSAGE."

The sausages were distributed between June 21, 2010 and September 21, 2010, to retail establishments in Alaska, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Georgia, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma and Wisconsin.

Each package displays the establishment number 27488A inside the USDA mark of inspection.

The problem was uncovered by FSIS during a labeling review. Neither FSIS nor the company has received reports of adverse reactions connected with the consumption of these products.
