State Farmers Market to host Pecan Day Friday, Nov. 19

Sweet treats and crunchy snacks will be available at the State Farmers Market during Pecan Day this Friday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Visitors can enjoy free N.C. pecan samples, a pecan dessert prepared by the State Farmers Market Restaurant, educational information and free pecan recipes just in time for holiday cooking. Both shelled and unshelled pecans will be available for purchase.

In addition to pecans, the Farmers Market has a large variety of seasonal fruits and vegetables, including tomatoes, apples, peanuts, sweet potatoes and greens. Flowers, shrubs, N.C. Christmas trees and holiday wreaths also are available.
