Startup biofuels company Nature's BioReserves plans to begin construction next spring on a new plant in South Sioux City, Neb., that will produce 60 million gallons of biodiesel per year, according to a report by the Sioux City Journal.

Nature’s BioReserves will make the fuel from tallow generated by beef processing at nearby Beef Products Inc. The biofuels plant, expected to create up to 40 jobs, will be built next to the BPI facility, the report said.

A similar facility, with an estimated price tag of $117 million, was planned for the site under a different name, the Sioux City Journal reported.

BPI and owner Eldon Roth were among investors in the initial project, according to the report.
