The North Carolina Pork Council is pleased to host the annual NC Pork Conference in conjunction with the Southern Farm Show once again in 2011.
We have two seminars for Operator in Charge credit hours on Thursday morning featuring 2010 National Environmental Steward Mark Daughtry and Keith Larick of the Animal Feeding Operations unit within DWQ.
That will be followed by a full day of seminars focusing on social sustainability and animal care, the new look of Congress and the NC General Assembly and also an HR toolkit for small companies.
A complimentary lunch will be served, during which Chris Novak and Rob Christine, of the National Pork Board, will provide an update on what's going on at NPB.
We will conclude our agenda at the fairgrounds with the Annual Meeting on Thursday afternoon.
Don't forget the Bacon Bash on Thursday evening at the Marriott Crabtree Valley. This members-only event begins at 5:30 and is our annual fundraiser for the NCPC Political Action Committee. For more information on this event, feel free to contact Angie Whitener at angie@ncpork.org. If you are a member of NCPC, you may purchase a ticket here.
Also, please plan to join us Friday morning at the Marriott Crabtree Valley for the 2011 Annual Awards Breakfast to honor our industry's outstanding leaders. Registration for this event is $10 if you preregister by January 28th or $15 at the door.
