Yesterday U.S. Representative Walter B. Jones (NC-3) and 83 of his House colleagues called on President Obama to stand up to Chinese President Hu Jintao regarding China’s repeated violations of international trade law.  China’s President is in Washington, DC this week for a series of meetings with President Obama and other top Administration officials.  In a letter to Obama, Jones and his colleagues strongly urge the President to demand action and communicate that America will no longer allow China to engage in illegal actions which negatively impact the U.S. economy and take jobs from American workers.

“The laws of international commerce must be upheld,” said Jones.  “We can no longer stand by and watch others cheat their way to the top to the detriment of our economy.  The American people are tired of never getting ahead and we need the President to stand up for our workers and our businesses.”

A copy of the letter, with signatures, can be found here.
